The Photography that I predominantly tend to focus on (pun intended) is black and white street photography. I occasionally shoot in colour as well.

I like the immediacy of street photography. You have to be quick on your feet, and I like that! You often don't have time to think about composition, lighting and camera settings. It’s like shooting solely on instinct.

I like the fact that it is a constantly changing, never to be repeated back drop, with a plethora of intertwined characters. It's like a movie that never ends; one that can be played whenever I want.

I like capturing moments shared. A chance meeting between friends, kindness between strangers or a passing smile. Anything that screams 'I’m human'!

I like to juxtapose, by placing subjects against contradicting backgrounds, or by framing them against architecture, in such a way that they fit in.

No matter where I am, I always enjoy walking the streets and shooting. I love talking to the people that I meet (and offering them photos). Everyone has a story to tell!

If I'm out walking, I mostly shoot with my trusty old Nikon D80 and a vintage Nifty Fifty (50mm f1.8) prime lens - sometimes with an off camera flash. I’ll occasionally use a telephoto lens, but only if I want to sit in one spot and shoot.

I also occasionally run around with a Nikon AW 120. It's waterproof, dust proof and shock proof. The best part is that it fits in my pocket!

I mostly shoot in black and white, occasionally colour, and I rarely post-process.

Shooting the shooter! It does happen from time to time :)
